Hello, my name is Rose. In June 2021 I started Salon Opal. A woman-owned, inclusive work space for seasoned stylists.
I myself am a stylist of 20 years. I trained at Gene Juarez Academy and went onto Gene Juarez Advanced Training. I enjoy creating rooty, blended and dimensional colors and long textured cuts with movement. I specialize in blondes and love designing beautiful, lived in looks, while staying up on the trends. I take into consideration facial structure, undertones and lifestyle to help curate the best overall cuts and colors for my guests. But most of all I aspire to make my guests feel welcomed, valued and heard and to leave feeling excited about their new hair.
I am a PNW native, mother of two amazing daughters, a wife of 21 years to my partner Matt and doggie mama to my little guy Buddy the Shih Tzu (who visits the salon from time to time) and our new puppy Charlie an American Bulldog . I love to sing, play music, travel to warm places, snorkeling, playing in Disneyland with my girls, yoga, riding horses, drinking kumbucha, fashion and so on.

Tara has been a Hairstylist for more than a decade. She was trained at the Gene Juarez Academy and has continued her education favoring both French and British techniques in hair design, hair-painting, balayage. She’s also trained in color theory.
She loves all lengths of hair…Long and layered, textured bobs & lobs, short and edgy cuts to blunt classics.
Her color specialties are hair-painting, balayage, highlights and/or rich deep-toned colors.
She likes to help her clients find looks and colors that compliment their natural beauty, bone structure, skin tone and lifestyle, also spending time showing her clients how
to work with their own hair at home.
Tara was born in the Mid-West but ended up in the PNW and loves blending both worlds.
Her pastimes include photography, art, music, kayaking, fire-pits, old cars, yoga, riding horses, and traveling to the desert with her people whenever she can.
She’s the proud mother of two incredible daughters, and to her Labrador, Penny.

My background in knitting and fiber arts combined with over a decade in the hospitality industry led to me finding my niche as a hairstylist in 2017. Having the opportunity to express myself creatively while meeting new people and building relationships is what made me fall in love with doing hair.
I approach hair as a fabric and consider texture as well as color while collaborating with my guests to create customized individual looks suitable to their lifestyle. Trusting someone with your hair is an honor, and as your stylist I aim to create a safe and comfortable environment where all are welcome.
I am a born and raised Washington native, Seattle has been home for the last 14 years. In my off time I enjoy adventures with my partner and his daughter, taking our dogs to local parks, backyard fires, getaways with friends and family, cooking and baking, exercising, live music, reading, and occasionally binging reality tv shows.
